Anyway, here’s the main reason I’m writing you today: As you may have noticed, things aren’t getting any easier in the world. In fact, life seems to be getting crazier and crazier. It’s not your imagination… and it’s not just you. In a sense, the world really is falling apart.
I’m going to tell you a secret. The way I see it, things are going to get much worse. This is actually the calm before the storm. I see things getting much more intense in the next few years. Actually, starting this year, and continuing for who-knows-how-long.
Basically, it’s becoming more and more important what you think and feel. Why? Because your thoughts and feelings are going to be amplified more and more. If you’re scared now, then soon you’ll be way more scared. If you’re angry now, then you’ll be way more angry. If you’re feeling a lot of pity now, then you’ll soon be feeling way more pity.
See how it goes? Whatever’s going on inside you will be ramped up enormously. That’s what I see coming. That’s what I’m already seeing. That’s why it’s more important than ever before that you work on feeling your feelings – cleanly – without telling yourself a story about what it means to feel those feelings.
For example, if I’m scared, then I may say, “Something bad is about to happen, or else I wouldn’t be scared.” Or, “What if the worst happens?” Or, “If I’m scared, it means there’s something wrong with me.” Or it could be any number of statements. All designed to make sense of the fear. All designed to explain it away. All designed to control it.
Well STOP DOING THAT!
Look, when fear comes (and it will come!) the best option is to simply open up your heart, and suck the fear up like your heart is a vacuum cleaner. Just let the fear into your heart, and leave the stories at the door.
Fear means you’re feeling fear. Okay? That’s what fear means. It doesn’t mean the sky is falling. Feeling fear means you’re feeling fear. Leave it at that. If you will simply feel the fear – without the story – then you can ‘ride that wave’ – and let the fear pass right through you. Let it be a thrill! The fear will pass. I promise. But if you tell yourself stories about the fear, then the fear will not pass. You’ll stay scared. Is that what you want?
And this goes for any and all emotions, not just fear. Anger, hurt, pity, pain… despair… loneliness… you name it. Ironically enough, you also need to watch the stories about love and happiness and all those other wonderful feelings that you want to feel.
You don’t want to tell yourself stories about love, either. Or happiness. Just feel the feelings!
Here’s what happens: The more you can open up your heart, and just feel – cleanly – then the more you clear out your emotional pathway. And the more you clear out your emotional pathway, the easier it is to feel whatever you want to feel. Believe me, that’s good news. Especially in these crazy, crazy times.
You do NOT want to be telling yourself stories about what you’re feeling. (Okay, I think I’ve made my point…!)
Here’s the problem:
When we start feeling ‘bad’ – that’s when we have the knee-jerk reaction to try to control those feelings.
And we control by trying to shut off the flow.
And we shut off the flow by telling ourselves stories.
This isn’t hard to figure out. It’s obvious. But what isn’t so obvious is the terrible consequences of shutting off the flow of feelings. Once we start suffering, that’s when we ramp up our efforts to control the flow even more. That’s when things go from bad to worse.
Now, I understand the overwhelming desire to do something – anything – to feel better. And I understand it’s not easy at first to just open up your heart and let in the feelings. For most people, that’s the last thing in the world they want to do. Because it goes against everything we’ve been taught and conditioned to do, our whole lives.
Any fool knows you have to control your emotions, or they’ll control you.
And I’m saying, if that sage advice doesn’t seem to be working for you, why not try something new? Open up the flow more, instead of trying to shut it down more. Feel – cleanly – without interpreting those feelings.

You can change your resonance in a matter of minutes. And once you change your resonance, you change. Instantly. It might be a small change; it might be a big change. But you will change.

That’s the nature of resonance. It keeps things the same. Which is why it’s so vitally important to work with your resonance.
